alexandrapatrick attended an action plan workshop for a new Tourism Destination Management Plan (DMP) for Shepway on 14 July 2016.

Shepway District Council is working with partners to develop a DMP to identify a shared vision for tourism in the district and establish a plan for up to 2020. This Destination Management Plan is about managing the Shepway area (Folkestone, Hythe, Romeny Marsh and North Downs) over a four year period up to 2020.

Partners who attended include Creative Foundation, Explore Kent, Kent Wildlife Trust, Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway among others collaboratively generated ideas to agree a common vision for the area.

The direction or vision of the potential DMP is particularly relevant given Romney Marsh Partnership’s Fifth Continent programme to deliver a tourism brand and new website which alexandrapatrick and PROGRESS creative agency in Folkestone are executing.

There are many more similar initiatives taking place across the Shepway district and the Romney Marsh branding project will dovetail with all current and planned activity.
