The Royal Oak – a right royal treat

part

The Royal Oak has a menu inspired by fresh, seasonal produce from the Romney Marsh and nearby Rye Bay.

The Royal Oak in Brookland is home to a delightful restaurant that is serious about making the best of what Kent, and in particular the Romney Marsh, have to offer.

Using locally sourced, seasonal produce makes for a mouthwatering and varied menu – everything from partridge to fresh local fish and seafood (landed just a stone’s throw away) feature.

But proprietor David Rhys-Jones no longer wants to keep The Royal Oak’s outstanding food the best kept secret in Kent.

He said: “We’re passionate about the Marsh and the exquisite fare it produces. When we wanted a fresh set of images, we also looked locally. Finding Duncan Callow of alexandrapatrick just a few miles away was a real bonus. And we’re delighted with the results…a win-win for keeping it local.”
